Here Is a post about my experience in the Louis Vuitton Store in Paris.. (its from my Madrid blog)
Has Anyone ever received treatment like this too??

madformadrid:

So.. I went to Paris. On the back of my mind I always thought about how people say Parisians are rude, I did not experience at all except for one of my last days on May 7th, in wait for this…
none other than the Louis Vuitton Store.
Dear Louis Vuitton,
Let me explain, I had come into the store with a few purses in mind and was intending on buying one for my lovely Mother. Of course your flagship store was packed with tourists bustling, buying, looking etc.
I waited patiently at the counter for a clerk to help me, I was never asked if I needed to be helped, I was completely and utterly ignored.. Finally I began to be impatient and asked the next clerk who seemed to not be helping anyone for help, her name “Sonia A.”
She said she was not helping me and asked me haughtily what I wanted. The look on her face and that response showed me she was quite reluctant to help me.. I ignored this fact and proceeded.
I listed her the bags I wanted as she went and search for the purses. If I asked a question she was short with me, and not friendly what so ever. I thought to myself perhaps I should ask for a different clerk who would help me but decided I could handle this, regardless of her rudeness. This was my biggest mistake..
She had 3 purses out on the counter as I spent some time deciding which one would be right for my mother (size shape etc), while I was looking at the counter she took one of the bags back when I wasn’t even deciding!! And disappeared for awhile. When she came back i told her I was not done with that bag and she ROLLED HER EYES, SIGHED and went to go get it, and just sort of pushed it on the counter.
To make matters worse all my questions were greeted with an eye roll or an under the breath sigh. Very UN Louis Vuitton like .. She was short with me when I asked her for her opinion and was so unfriendly that I was begining to feel quite upset and anxious.
I felt that my experience in Louis Vuitton and deciding which bag to purchase was rushed, rude and disrespectful. I mean for goodness gracious I was planning on spending a ridiculous amount on a purse the least she could do was be polite and patient.
I decided which purse to buy and she ran my CC of course being that it is a large amount it was denied when I asked her to run it one more time she ROLLED HER EYES, said rudely “I can only run it once more” of course it was denied once more, and I told her I would call my CC company, she pushed the receipt to me and walked off with my bag, not even bothering to wait.
fast forward.. called the credit card company and they said “run the card, while they sit on the line” I asked the lady that were processing payments to run my credit card but of course she could not with out Sonia A, she asked me where she went and I of course had no idea. Feeling completely left alone in this store and unsure what to do I stood and waited looking for this SONIA A.
With out much luck of me finding this Sonia person, The lady processing payments aked other clerks if they knew where Sonia A was and to look for this Sonia A, as I stood waiting ONCE AGAIN. By now I was beginning to notice that the crowd of people that once was in the store with me was beginning to be handed their lovely bags all tied up and ready for them to exit with.
My patience was running extremely low, I think the payment lady could sense this and ran my Credit Card with out this Sonia A. One of the clerks told her that she would find Sonia A & disappeared.
She told me to stand there and wait for Sonia A to come get the receipt so she can get the bag and once again.. I waited. My annoyance was beginning to rise as I saw customers pay, wait 5 mins, get their items and leave. I did not receive this luxury nor this treatment.
I think it was beginning to be apparent that I was quite angry when one of the clerks in training standing in line with her client told me she would run and get my bag. She did, and 5 mins later I got my bag. Her kindness made me feel better but OH MAN was I peeved.
It had taken a very long time to purchase this expensive bag. I was treated so rudely and the upsetting thing was that she never even came back to apologize. The audacity of this women to treat me in such a way in a Luxury store was baffling. I would have left to go to another Vuitton store but of course there is only one in all of Paris. I have never ever been treated like this in any store. I understand that the store was crowded but each customer had a clerk helping them, answering their questions, showing them options like I had expected from Louis Vuitton, and these services if they were done were sub par and done rudely.
If I was not purchasing this as a gift for my mother I would have left and Louis Vuitton most likely would never have me as a customer again.  I was so deeply disappointed in my experience with the store. A store that has notable acclaims and raves. And am certain that I could have been treated with respect and dignity in many other stores. That being said, that will most likely be the last Louis Vuitton product I will ever buy.
Sincerly,
Vanessa
